Nowhere in the world does agricultural investment go hand in hand with forest protection. For years, the Sustainable Trade Initiative (IDH) has been working on developing innovative finance solutions to change this status quo. Now, thanks to the AndGreen.Fund, local communities will receive funding to start their own palm oil plantations, provided they leave the majority of their tropical forests untouched.
