The Dole-Edeka-WWF project is a unique project tackling the global sustainability in conventional banana production mainly in mid-size independent grower farms.
The project aims to further improve social and environmental aspects and uses a methodology developed by WWF, which includes 120 different indicators, to measure the progress of the farms on pesticides use, green gas emissions, reforestation and creation of buffer zones, monitoring ecosystems and soil, water and waste management.
