As Senior Program Manager of the Cocoa & Forests Initiative and Cocoa Landscapes, Violaine Berger focuses on building public, private, civil society coalitions to deliver a positive impact on sustainable production (P), forest protection & restoration (P), and social inclusion (I) – IDH’s PPI approach. As part of her previous role at IDH, she was leading the Mitigation of Deforestation Impact Theme and developing IDH’s approach to sustainable landscapes while supporting the Landscape program in the design and implementation of their PPI strategy.
Before joining IDH, she was the Director of the Ecosystems & Landscape Management Cluster of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), a global coalition of some 200 companies focusing on sustainable development.
