Carla Veldhuyzen van Zanten is a Senior Advisor of Sustainable Livelihoods at Fairtrade International (FLO). She has been leading FLO’s strategy design for a greater impact on farmer livelihoods beyond certification, with living income as a key focus area. Her field experience, research-based evidence, inventories of best practices and broad stakeholder engagement have contributed to a holistic roadmap, including a living income reference price model aimed at achieving sustainable livelihoods for smallholders in commodity supply chains.
