Climate Week 2024: Responding to crop failures in the agriculture sector

Wednesday 25 September 2024; 8:00 – 10:30am EDT

This Climate Week session will tackle “climate resilience in tropical commodities through landscape approaches” co-organised by IDH and FPC

This event occurs amidst significant supply disruptions due to climate change, already affecting key commodities such as palm, soy, coffee, cocoa, beef, and cotton. These disruptions are expected to increasingly influence market dynamics, severely impacting all stakeholders in the supply chain, including farmers, traders, brands, and retailers.

To address these challenges, early investment in targeted company and supply chain resilience strategies is crucial. We’ll explore how adopting resilient production models at landscape level can help reduce supply and business risks.

Join the conversation to explore sustainable, climate-resilient solutions.

At the event, alongside you and peers from business and finance, we will share practical examples of landscape-level action for climate resilience and land restoration and how it can support reliable and inclusive production of commodities.

For those not attending Climate Week in person, we will share the option to join online. Register here to join online:
