Senior Analyst, Inclusive Business Analytics – Nigeria

We are excited to be searching for a proactive and pragmatic Senior Analyst with an interest in Value chain sustainability to join our team, and we hope it’s you!

Your role.

As Senior Analyst, you are responsible for carrying out analytics on inclusive business models in smallholder-anchored value chains, markets, and landscapes. The analysis informs convening, funding, and investment activities that contribute to developing more commercially, socially, and environmentally sustainable businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough, high quality field research and data collection for business models.
  • High quality data cleaning, verification, and analysis and business modelling.
  • Coordination and management of stakeholder interviews.
  • Relationship management and strong client communications.
  • Coordination and collaboration with internal IDH clients.
  • Supporting the budgeting, planning and organization of projects within IDH.
  • Articulate strategic insights, recommendations and priorities based on their analysis.
  • Creating thorough and professional reports, combining clear writing with effective and insightful analyses (figures, graphs, visuals)

What you bring.

  • MSc. in (business) economics, data analysis, econometrics, financial analysis or similar.
  • 6+ years of relevant working experience, ideally in consulting or private sector.
  • Outstanding analytical skills and ability to drive process for quality analysis and reports.
  • Experience in advising senior external stakeholders at a tactical level.
  • Deep understanding of (financial) business models and experience in building models (proficiency in Excel is a must)
  • Thorough understanding of smallholder-based agricultural value chains (from a private sector perspective);
  • Outstanding presentation skills, incl. building PPTs.
  • Creative and innovation focused.
  • Interpersonal effective relationship-builder, able to inspire and mobilize.
  • Result-oriented, self-propelling and self-organized, eye for detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communications and presentation skills. Fluency in English is essential. French is a pre.
